Description: In order to celebrate World Prematurity Day on November 17th, March of Dimes and Area 23 are launching a TV spot whose production has inadvertently kicked off years ago, when filmmaker Jean Paulo Lasmar started documenting his wife’s pregnancy. His son Gabriel was born premature and he kept filming the entire ordeal to save his life and, since then, never stopped registering ordinary moments of his son’s life.
According to Jean Paulo “When the pandemic hit this year and I started seeing on the news thousands and thousands of people fighting for their lives on the same ventilators that Gabriel was put on 5 years ago, I understood that somehow my family’s history could send a message of hope and unity.”
The film condenses 5 years-worth of intimate and poetic scenes from Gabriel’s life, showing to a world who is now struggling to breathe that when we take care of each other, it is possible to overcome even the hardest challenges. :60 Second Version Youtube Link (Viewable):
